The Seaside Chamber of Commerce is organized to achieve a dual-purpose objective to foster growth and prosperity in Seaside area businesses and communities. Anchored by six guiding pillars— Education, Advocacy, Enrichment, Collaboration, Promotion, and Support. Through strategic initiatives, inclusive membership engagement, and collaborative endeavors, we pledge to elevate the economy and community of Seaside.
PURPOSE:
To provide events and opportunities designed to encourage direct business to business engagement and networking, to encourage connections and partnerships in commerce within the community. To build a comradery within the greater business community.
GOALS:
1. To maintain a consistent and engaging programing schedule for Good Morning Seaside, ensuring a regular membership and community attendance, with the ultimate goal of bringing in new members and showcasing existing members.
2. To utilize current Chamber programing to highlight existing businesses and bring them to the forefront so as to bring value to their membership and commerce to their business.
3. To develop new events and opportunities for businesses and community
to collaborate in person.
PURPOSE:
To lead the Chamber's strategy to increase new membership, maintain membership retention and to continue to develop relationships between existing members. To be a resource for the efforts of the Chamber CEO and the Membership Director in their efforts regarding membership.
GOALS:
1. Review, modify and execute strategy for membership growth, membership retention, and increasing membership levels within existing membership
2. Promoting chamber events and programs and informing our members of the various tools, services, and benefits of the Chamber.
3. To act as a new member "Welcoming Committee".
4. To continually evaluate the perceived value of the Chamber, and the sales tools available to the Membership Director.
5. To analyze the membership levels and address any necessary adjustments to maintain a healthy membership.
PURPOSE:
To analyze current events for improvements. To support staff in looking at contracts, sponsorships and logistics. Generate ideas for fundraising, operations and logistics.
GOALS:
1. To develop and maintain events that fit the purpose of the Chamber, grow the net profits of the Chamber, and benefit the greater community of Seaside.
2. Review, modify and execute strategies for existing events, including evaluating financial viability, event operations, sponsorship, contracts and revenue structure and more, to ensure events are running efficiently and effectively.
3. Potentially develop new events which positively affect the commerce of Seaside by attracting locals and tourist engagement.
PURPOSE:
To ensure there is adequate and appropriate monitoring, lobbying and oversight of federal, state, and local legislation and issues that could affect the Chamber and its members. Separately, to make recommendations to the Board of Directors to support or oppose issues which affect the Chamber and its members.
GOALS:
1. To develop objectives and guidelines which the Chamber of Commerce will use while engaging with policymakers at the city, county, state, and federal levels, on behalf of our business community.
2. To become the source of knowledge of current or upcoming legislation that could affect the business community.
3. To search for government resources/grants available to businesses and for community improvement.
PURPOSE:
To provide or support classes, events, online and in-person learning opportunities which educate, inspire, and advance the professional development of our businesses, entrepreneurs, and workforce to affect the success growth of our community.
GOALS:
1. To provide opportunities to our members, to educate themselves and/or their employees, so as to improve the overall health of our business community and the strength of our workforce.
PURPOSE:
To enhance and enrich our community through attracting targeted businesses. Foster diverse cultural outreach and inclusion within the community. Facilitate community beautification and public art. Incorporate sustainability and greener practices in all Chamber initiatives and throughout greater Seaside. Establish the Chamber as the central hub for community engagement and volunteer coordination.
GOALS:
1. Recruit targeted business to benefit the Seaside/Gearhart community by finding gaps in industries and find opportunities that are mutually beneficial.
2. Identify opportunities to add beautification to the community and businesses through public art and projects.
3. Engage in cultural outreach within the public and business communities to encourage involvement in events and programs.
4. Find ways to incorporate sustainability and greener practice at Chamber events and functions. Identify opportunities within businesses to incorporate greener methods by evaluating business and community practices.
5. Lead the volunteer organization within the community and partner with local organizations to create a shared volunteer pool.
